SQL Server does not exist or access denied When they open the application, then any screen that access the SQL databsase, they get.ĬonnectionOpen (Connect()) We since made some changes and updated their data (not the tables) on the back end. (Mainly cause Access back end was too slow in responding on remote sites.) We have SQL 2000 and they have SQL 2005. So my boss ordered me to develop their copy to a SQL back end. We have a client that has their servers in a different physical office, and they have MS SQL. We developed an application with Microsoft Access 2007 (sp2) that has a seperate table back end and seperate front end application so multiple users can access the tables.
Now it's screwed up and I'm stuck with finding a fix.
This is a bad situation that I originally said was a bad idea, but the boss/owner went forward with it anyway.
